What SureHold is

SureHold Ballistics is operated by Brown Trout Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"). SureHold Ballistics is a web app for shooters: ballistic calculators, a range log, and calibration that fits your rifle's real velocity, BC and wind behavior to the shots you log. These terms cover your use of the site and the app.

Estimates, not guarantees

Ballistic predictions are estimates. Real results depend on your rifle, ammunition, sights, wind and conditions, and on the numbers you enter. Always confirm your dope at the range before you rely on it, and never use a prediction as the only basis for a shot where a mistake could hurt someone.

SureHold never suggests powder charges or reloading data. You may record the loads you shoot, but you are responsible for following published load data and safe reloading practices. You are responsible for handling firearms safely and for following all laws that apply to you.

Your account

You need an account to save rifles, loads and range days. Keep your password private. You must be at least 18, or the age at which you may lawfully use firearms and ammunition where you live, whichever is higher. You are responsible for what you enter and for the activity on your account.

Free and Pro

The free plan has limits (currently 1 rifle, 1 saved load and 3 logged shots, and no calibration). Pro removes those limits and unlocks calibration. We may change what each plan includes; if we change a plan you have already paid for in a way that makes it worse, we will tell you first.

Pro subscriptions and billing

Pro is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown when you sign up. A free trial, if offered, starts when you subscribe. When it ends you are charged the price shown, and your subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel.

You can cancel any time from Manage billing on your account page. If you cancel during a trial you are not charged. If you cancel later, Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for and then ends; we do not charge you again. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Unless the law where you live says otherwise, payments are not refundable once a billing period has started. If something went wrong with a charge, write to us and we will look at it fairly.

Your data

Your rifles, loads, shots and notes are yours. We use them to run the app for you, including the calibration. You can download your shots as a CSV from the range log, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time (see Contact below). See the Privacy Policy for how we handle data.

Acceptable use

Do not try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, get around the plan limits, access other people's data, or use SureHold for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.

No warranty, and limits on our liability

SureHold is provided as is. We work hard to make it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be error-free or always online. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from relying on a prediction without confirming it, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date below changes when we do, and for significant changes we will tell account holders. Questions, deletion requests or billing problems: use the contact page or write to support@sureholdballistics.com.
