Privacy Policy

The short version

SureHold Ballistics is operated by Brown Trout Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"), who is responsible for the information described here.

We collect what we need to run the app for you, we do not sell your data, and we do not show ads or use advertising trackers.

What we collect

Account: your email address and your password (stored only as a one-way hash by our sign-in provider, so we cannot read it).

What you log: your rifles, loads, range days, shots, weather you enter or fetch, notes, and the calibration the app works out from them. These are visible only to your account.

Messages: anything you send through the contact form, along with the reply address you give us. To slow down spam we also keep a one-way hash of your network address for a short time; it cannot be turned back into the address.

Waitlist: the email address, if you joined the list.

Billing: when you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment details. We receive and store only your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan status, billing interval and renewal dates. We never see your card number.

Location

If you tap Use my location, or open a new range day, your phone may share its position with the page so it can look up local weather. The coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo, a weather service, to get the forecast-model readings. We do not store your location on our servers.

Who handles data for us

Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (domain and email forwarding), Resend (account emails such as confirmations and password resets), Stripe (payments) and Open-Meteo (weather). They process data only to provide their service to us.

Cookies and storage on your device

We use your browser's local storage for things the app needs to work: staying signed in, remembering your last rifle and load, and keeping your shots on your phone until they sync, so the range log works with no signal. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later we will say so here.

Your choices

You can export your shots as a CSV from the range log, correct or delete anything you logged, and ask us to delete your account and all its data. You can cancel a subscription any time from your account page. To ask, use the contact page or write to support@sureholdballistics.com. We keep billing records for as long as the law requires.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, and the database only lets you read and change your own rows. No system is perfectly secure, so use a password you do not use elsewhere.

Age

SureHold is for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, the date below changes, and for significant changes we will tell account holders.
